I decided to wear this newly completed Addison Pullover on our first (long overdue) trip to the Cape Breton Farmers Market today and it's so perfect I'm still wearing it! I was thinking about giving it to my mom....so, how do you feel about it, Ma? Want to take it off my hands?
I started working on this sweater in the beginning of September. The pattern is Addison by Julie Hoover, made for Purl Soho. It's an easy knit, all seed stitch and worked in pieces and then seamed. I decided to knit it using a combination of yarns I had in my stash: some Linen Quill by Purl Soho that I picked up when I was in New York for Print Week last year, and some lace-weight super-wash merinos that I hand-dyed with avocado this spring. You can check them out in the picture below! I love the way the avocado colour muted down the orange of the Linen Quill.
I'm lucky that Trevor seems to like to take a lot of pictures of me knitting, so here are a variety of in-progress shots of me working on my Addison Pullover: everywhere from Salty Rose's in the Cape Breton Highlands listening to fiddle music, to Netflix on the couch at home, or waiting for our food at the Chowder House in Tatamagouche.
