I've set a challenge for myself this month to make one mini-quilt a day.
So, here are nine quilts for the first nine days of October. I know that it is the 11th of October today...don't judge, I haven't failed at my goal already. There is still time left to make one today and yesterday's quilt is somewhere beside my bed where I forgot it after hastily stitching it up before I fell asleep last night, woops!
But hey, so far I've stuck to my plan, which is good for me, I don't usually stick to plans well.
I did almost gave up on Day 5. I was really bored of making mini-quilts. But luckily, something in my heart (or maybe just my pride) wouldn't let me fail so soon after starting... as much as I wanted too. So instead of quitting I switched things up and tried appliqué with some indigo scraps and so began the blue on blue quilts you can see in the mix above.
And I think they are amazing. I might even turn this idea into a real people sized quilt. The moral of this story might just be "don't give up on your dreams, kid"?
That seems to be the moral of most stories.
